A chandelier consisting of theee hanging bars of five pendants with 250 surrounding giant blown 'beads', custom made for Serena in KItalian, Rwanda
The Chromatic Cluster embodies the purpose of a conference hall: bringing people together for a single reason. Using the colors of the Rwandan sun, soil, and hills, this installation highlights how multiple elements can make a beautiful whole.
With 250 individual balls of hand blown crackled and distorted glass in red, yellow, and green, the seemingly random structure of the loose sphere reveals a precise organization visible only from directly below - pattern and form hidden within the randomness.
This chandelier can be likened to a complex ecosystem, where each glass ball represents a unique organism working together to form a cohesive system. It evokes the stunning spectacle of a dazzling fireworks display, with each glass ball representing a different color and burst. It's like a glittering galaxy, where each glass ball is a shining star, bright on its own but breathtaking when seen as a constellation.
