garden jewellery

garden jewellery

The now iconic 'garden jewellery' adorns discerning houses & gardens around the globe - bursts of coloured glass catching sunlight and giving glassy joy to many people. Works a bit like Lego - mix and match whatever combinations you want - up to 7 metres long.

Kitengela Glass love the jua-kali (hot sun) ethos - and are used to keeping stuff outside, which has created an entire range of sculpture and adornment for exterior applications.

Contact info@kitengela.glass for your custom needs or to see what's in stock at the studio.

A Curated Collection of Flat, Fire & Form

The art gallery at Kitengela Glass. A veritable treasure trove of Kitengelia and contemporary African art and sculpture.

This evolving collection showcases one-of-a-kind pieces born from fire, friendship, and fearless experimentation.

Rooted in the early ‘Bushglass’ tradition, it now features rare works by visiting artists like Emil Kováč, Ondrej Novotny, Marek Bartko, Christian Maas, and Tums Yeshim, alongside collaborative creations and otheir sculptural results of Anselm’s workshops.

Expect the unexpected — each piece is a conversation.

mbao

mbao

‘Mbao’ means wood in Swahili. This is the result of an exciting collaboration between Refined Niche woodworkers & Kitengela Hot Glass. We’ve been looking for a partner in carpentry for a while, and this is a very promising result.

Lovingly made from recycled Russian pine with hand made glass details from scrap windows..

All our products are individually hand made from recycled glass in small batches, and could differ slightly from the photo in colour.
