Anselm’s private properties are walking distance from his studio:

Ole Chalet - 4 bedroom family cottage with giant verandah &
Bush Willow - 2 person bedsit with exquisite finishes hidden in a secret leafy glade.

Nani’s totally unique experiential properties comprise of
Pool House - 2.5 bedroom Gaudiesque build,
Glass House - 1 bedroom earthen house) &
Mirror House - 1 bedroom - ‘being in a disco ball’,
all on the studio grounds & adjacent to the iconic swimming pool with its attendant bottle sauna.

The Kitengela coastal properties with private beach access are:
Ecotower - 1 bedroom, whole tower upgraded, &
Doum Palm - 3 bedroom villa with pool. Both generously endowed with glass as a testament to the family business, & fully off grid with solar & Starlink. Watamu beach has never been lovelier.

While in Kitengela you could combine your stay with one of our signature experiences, or just immerse yourself in our workshops to discover the process of art glass as it happens. Sip cappuccino at a funky, chunky mosaic table in the Glasstronomique café. Surround yourself in a secret garden of sculpture, glass and living designs that enchant and inspire.

Garden Jewellery

Garden Jewellery

The now iconic 'garden jewellery' adorns discerning houses & gardens around the globe - bursts of coloured glass catching sunlight and giving glassy joy to many people. Works a bit like Lego - mix and match whatever combinations you want - up to 7 metres long.

Kitengela Glass love the jua-kali (hot sun) ethos - and are used to keeping stuff outside, which has created an entire range of sculpture and adornment for exterior applications.

Contact info@kitengela.glass for your custom needs or to see what's in stock at the studio.

Mbao

Mbao

The result of an exciting collaboration between Simply Inspired woodworkers and Kitengela Hot Glass. We’ve been looking for a partner in carpentry for a while, and this is a very promising result.

Lovingly made from recycled Russian pine with hand made glass details from scrap windows..

All our products are individually hand made from recycled glass in small batches, and could differ slightly from the photo in colour.

MokoMaya

MokoMaya

In our search for funky stuff for your homes we came across MokoMaya - a Nairobi-based craft store centred on up-cycling glassware into a variety of décor pieces. The name ‘MokoMaya’ means ‘these hands’ in Kikuyu; a paen to the hands-on approach in making these items.

Founded in 2020, MokoMaya take glass waste & turning it into beautifully crafted functional home pieces. Founder Nyandia Kamawe instills her passion for visual art & creativity throughout each object, adding a personal touch to her creations.
