In our search for funky glassy stuff for your homes we came across MokoMaya - a Nairobi-based craft store centred on up-cycling glassware into a variety of décor pieces.
The name ‘MokoMaya’ means ‘these hands’ in Kikuyu; a paen to the hands-on approach in making these items.
Founded in 2020, MokoMaya take glass waste & turning it into beautifully crafted functional home pieces. Founder Nyandia Kamawe instills her passion for visual art & creativity throughout each object, adding a personal touch to her creations.
